The LAZERBLOG RETURNS!

Hello one and all...welcome back to the Lazerblog...for the first time.

For those not aware, we at HBComics used to run "The Lazerblog" as a production diary for our first comic book series, Lazerman. It was updated (semi)weekly over at our myspace site, and would offer updates on the books production, news, and the occasional long-winded essay by yours truley. I sort of abandoned the
 Lazerblog back in 2010 since..well, to be nice about...absolutly no one goes on myspace anymore. That, and the old format was wearing a bit thin. When I sat in front of my computer every week and thought to myself "what the hell am I going to write about??" I knew it was time to leave the blog behind.
However, I sort of began to miss that streamlined, easy and instant line of communication to our followers and readers. There were a few times over the last year that I had news to share, and sort of cast a sad eye towards the old blog, wishing it could reach more of it's old audience.

And that brings us to the here and now!

I had been playing with the idea of re-imagining the old blog and bringing it back for some time now. Now...it just feels like the right time, and Blogger seemed like the right format.

So what is this "new Lazerblog" going to be like?

It is going to be the place to hear the latest tidbits, news, announcements, and goings-on at HBComics. However, rather than being a scheduled weekly massive update, I'll be blogging whenever there is something interteresting to say or talk about. It might be a short blurb or interesting annecdote..or it might be a long detailed rant, or news update, or....well, whatever! I also intend to salvage a few of my more interesting original Lazerblog articles as a "FLASHBACK" blog.

As always, I only have a few humble ground rules for posting comments to the blog:

1) Please play nice. We are an "all ages" group, so please try not swear eccesively, or be rude, abusive, ect.
2) Please, no politics. I strongly believe that we are here to entertain, and to do that without alienating anyone, we try to stay a-political. No matter what your opinions of the latest congressional debate, political figure or news item, please try save them for another arena.
3) Remember, we are self publishers, and we have interactions with other companies for business dealings. We are not at liberty to talk about behind the scenes info that affect other parties. In other words, if you are looking for us to give you the inside scoop about some shady distributor, or how you can get your foot in the door with some liscensor we are working with....you're going to be dissapointed. Sorry...It's just professional.

Alright! So then, keep an eye on this space for future updates...and please, visit the nice folks who placed the ads below =)
